Ingredients:
Purified Water: Pure water is obtained through a highly effective, three-stage purification system. First, the water is passed through standard filters. Then it goes through a state-of-the-art deionization filter. Finally, it is exposed to ultraviolet light, killing anything that may have survived the first two steps.
Melaleuca Oil: Tea Tree Oil. A natural antiseptic, essential oil, steam-distilled from the leaf of Melaleuca alternifolia.
Sodium lauryl sulfate: This is a water-soluble foaming cleanser and emulsifier, derived from plant fatty alcohols.
Carrageenan: Carrageenan is used as a natural thickener, naturally derived from seaweed.
Sorbitol: Natural flavoring agent.
Di-Calcium Phosphate: This natural form of mineral calcium is included as a soft tooth polish.
Glycerin: Natural, plant derived glycerin is an integral component of this product. It not only has the effect of maintaining moisture in the mouth, but it also provides an excellent medium for the delivery of tea tree oil, without diminishing its activity.
Hydrated Silica: This natural, organic form of silica is used for its thickening properties.
Peppermint: Obtained from the highest quality peppermint oil available, this provides an all-natural refreshing flavor and also inhibits bacteria with its antiseptic/antibiotic properties.
Silica: Aside from the numerous health benefits attributed to silica, this colloidal form is used for its ability to prevent caking. But most importantly in this product, it serves as an oral stain remover.
Papain: This is a plant-derived enzyme from papaya fruit that works wonders as a natural whitening agent. Most stains are actually protein residues embedded in the enamel of teeth. Breaking up those proteins allows other cleansers in this product to more easily remove them. Furthermore, papain effectively dissolves protein in the mouth before it can be used as food for bacteria that secrete plaque and acid.
Zinc citrate: Ionic zinc has not only been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria, but this unique form also has cleansing and whitening properties, making it an excellent oral care agent.
Methylparaben: A natural stabilizer, methylparaben helps this product to retain its texture and chemical integrity.
